Wasted at The Waste Management Open
The Tipsy Golfer Team got the chance to fly out to Arizona and attend the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Four entertaining rounds of golf and many rounds of Michelob Ultra capped off a great four day weekend.
The "Greatest Show on Grass" truly did not disappoint in 2020. Some "fun facts" from the tournament include over 10,000 beers sold in 4 days, numerous attendees being carried out by their friends and the loudest recorded fan section at a golf tournament.
But in all seriousness, the tournament was a great success and it is great to see the way golf fans share and enjoy the unique experience the Waste Management Phoenix Open offers.
Some of our favorite parts of the tournament were Cameron Smith's hole-out for par on the iconic 16th hole, Tony Finau draining his long birdie putt on 16 while wearing a #8 Kobe Bryant Lakers jersey and of course Webb Simpson's ace on the 12th hole to get to the top of the leaderboard and help propel him towards a first place finish.
It is always an awesome experience getting to watch a sudden death playoff between two great golfers (Finau and Simpson). Congratulations to Webb Simpson on winning the 2020 Waste Management Phoenix Open!
